1994 SkyBox Star Trek Master Series 2 travels the galaxy in the name of fine art. The follow-up to the 1993 release, it’s nearly identical in concept and design. But that concept was to give a variety of artists the freedom to explore and create with pieces based on the franchise. The base set has 100 cards, all using Star Trek-inspired artwork. While the checklist is broken down into a variety of subsets, this is more for organization than actual change. Fronts are full-bleed, allowing the art to go from edge to edge. A small gold foil logo is the only additional element, which also adds a slightly premium appeal as well. Backs not only go into the concept behind the piece but they also highlight the artist and the medium they work in.
